Its been a source of joy and comfort to have found terrificly creative people here in San Francisco. Our pals at “The Black Harbor” are just the type. In addition to hosting movie nights weekly in their office/workspace, they are busy at a variety of impulsive pursuits. One of them is the “Auditory Viewings” project, which is simply footage of musicians performing. We were happy to sing some tunes. We sing “Tipped Me Over” and “Apology” this time. Well, gals and fellas, I’ve just finished mastering tunes for the Uzi & Ari/TaughtMe “split EP” that was blogged about a week or so ago. For those of you unfamiiar with it, a few details:// Ben (Uzi & Ari) and I each recorded versions of Björk tunes and decided also to remix one another’s song’s as well. We then threw those 4 songs together, along with 2 unreleased tunes, and made an album of it. I am really happy about the way it turned out. The tunes feel cohesive and well-suited for one another. It was truly a joy to collaborate in this way with Ben. I felt blessed to remake his song however I wished and was delighted to hear his flattering remix of my tune. Those of you who defend our projects and/or like Björk might find use for these songs in this order.
For $7 you can have them all. Before long Itunes will carry the album as well as other online retailers. Also, it may end up on vinyl eventually. I’ll keep ya posted.
